You Can Now Play The ALIEN RPG On Roll20 And Fantasy Grounds

If you were looking for another way to play the ALIEN RPG, Free League Publishing has now released the award-winning adventure on virtual tabletop platforms. Now you can gather your crew on Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds in order to stay alive.

I haven’t used Fantasy Grounds before, but I’ve been on Roll20 for two different D&D campaigns, and I think it’s a great site for remote RPG gameplay. It’s exciting that you have both the Starter Set, with the included Cinematic Scenario, and the sequel Destroyer of Worlds on the virtual platform. And if you’re looking for the full experience, Fantasy Grounds is the one that sells the full core rulebook. The two cinematic scenarios are also on there, so you’ll be able to enjoy all of the best content no matter which platform you use.

If you’re worried about all of the gadgets and gizmos that you’d have with the physical material, don’t sweat it. The modules online include the maps and diagrams, as well as player handouts, character sheets, customized virtual dice roller, and more. So it’s all there. In today’s world, these virtual hangouts have been life-giving to me and my wife, so I’m fully behind anyway to connect and play games online.

The ALIEN RPG was released last December, and it was one of the best games I’ve reviewed so far. It’s been on a tear since then, selling out of its first print run and winning ENNIE awards along the way. It’s currently being translated into seven languages.

With the sci-fi horror adventure arriving on virtual platforms, it joins the Tales From the Loop RPG on Roll20, and the Symbaroum RPG on Fantasy Grounds. And you can expect more Free League Publishing games to launch on virtual tabletop platforms in the near future.
