1 Hour Of "Gunfight" Game-play + CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE MP Premiere August 1st

Gunfight, a brand new, fast paced, competitive, 2v2 game mode has been revealed for the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The mode pits two teams of two against each other with no health regen, and randomized loadouts in extremely small, fast paced maps. There are multiple factors that go into obtaining the W. Each round starts with a forty second timer, if both teams still stand when the timer hits zero, a flag spawns in the middle of the map that either team can secure for the win. On top of that, if neither team chooses to secure the flag, the team that has the most health wins the round. You can watch the full hour of game-play below.

On top of the brand new game-mode, we get to see some new mechanics that have been introduced into the game, and others that are returning. We can see in the game-play that leaning has returned, as well as mounting your weapon on to cover. Sprinting is a bit different, as there are two different types. One is the normal sprint, just like we’ve seen in every other Call of Duty game. The second type provides a much faster sprint, but leaves you more vulnerable, as it takes a bit longer to ready your weapon. The gun-play is radically different from other games in the series. The weapons appear to have more power and kick, making it more difficult to hit your target, but the time to kill is very short as long as you can place your shots.

The official multiplayer premiere is happening in less than a month’s time on August 1st. Hopefully we get to see more weapons and maps in play, along with some different game modes. Maybe we will also get a look at the create a class system, and a closer look at the new “operators” feature. What are your thoughts after seeing some game-play?
