Buu's Arc Announced For DRAGONBALL Z: KAKAROT Along With Collector's Edition

From the first initial announcement of the full life of Goku adventure-fighter game DragonBall Z: Kakarot from Bandai Namco to the latest news on the title, there is just more and more reasons to get excited! Originally I was excited for the announcement as the last time we got a proper adventure game featuring the events that took place within the DragonBall Z anime was in the gameboy era with The Legacy of Goku games. Now we see that we are getting one overall, everything included game rather than the beginning of a series.

It started out with the announcement of including the original Saiyan and Frieza sagas, like the first Legacy of Goku game. Then, just a few weeks ago during Gamescom, we were informed that we would be treated to a new character that was originally created by Akira Toriyama as the sixth member of the Ginyu Force and that she would be officially added to the canon of DragonBall Z along with the addition of the Cell saga. Now we are here with the final arc of the series being included as we are shown that the Buu arc is officially part of the game. With this in mind, it is easy to say that DragonBall Z: Kakarot is going to be the ultimate game to allow players to experience the series. Not to mention that they plan to bring light to some long-running mysteries as well.

The short trailer also revealed a couple new aspects as well: the pre-order bonus and Collector’s Edition. The pre-order bonus simply gives us one new cooking item, a sub-quest called “A Competitive Party with Friends,” and early access to Bonyu’s training. The Collector’s Edition, however, is where you will want to turn your attention to. This bundle includes:

  • Hardcover Game Artbook

  • Collectible Steelbook

  • Exclusive Diorama Figure

  • Full Game on chosen platform

I can’t wait for this year to end because I am thoroughly excited for January 17, 2020 to get here so DragonBall Z: Kakarot can be available on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. My favorite arc is the Cell arc, so I was already excited, but knowing that this game will be such a full spread experience of my favorite childhood anime makes this officially my most anticipated game to look forward to!
