Check Out RESIDENT EVIL 4 Remake Gameplay Walkthrough Of Chapter 5

Game Informer just released its exclusive look at Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 Remake with an extended gameplay walkthrough of Chapter 5. The game is looking utterly fantastic and it seems like it is set to be the most visually stunning entry in the line of RE remakes, thus far. We can see quite a few examples of some of the game’s mechanics on full display here so players have a better idea of what to expect next month.

You can check out Game Informer’s full exclusive coverage here. In the gameplay shown, we see Leon and Ashley escaping the church in which she was being held captive. This scene is pretty early on in the story and we get a good look at the different Granados we can expect to fight in the campaign. The RE Engine seems to be further optimized, showing off stunning graphics and smooth FPS.

Getting into the juicy details, we get our first glimpse at the merchant, the classic cache inventory system, and the quick-select inventory as well. It seems like we are getting the same treatment as the last two remakes, allowing players to select which four weapons they want in their “hot bar” for quick selection with the D-Pad. We can also see more gameplay of Leon attempting stealth takedowns, which apparently can be done throughout the entire level if a player chooses to go the stealthy route.

Along with these QOL updates, animations look stunning and realistic, and the parasites bursting through the villagers’ heads look utterly grotesque and awesome. It seems as though the charms are coming back, allowing players to place charms on their cache case, giving specific gameplay perks to aid them in battle. This title is looking like a true blockbuster and could show as the definitive way to play this beloved classic. Only time will tell until we know for sure.

Resident Evil 4 is launching on March 28 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
