COMMAND & CONQUER: REMASTERED Shows Off Its First Piece Of Art!

Back in November a remaster of both Command & Conquer: Tiberium Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert was announced! This announcement was met with amazing positivity from the fans of these classic games and there may have been some squealing from this writer! Both remasters are being worked on by Petroglyph Studios which has many member of the original team that made both of these classics. To further ensure authenticity Frank Klepacki was even brought back to handle all of the updating on the games audio. After nearly 5 months the team has decided to share the first piece of artwork coming out of the remaster, The updated Construction Yard!

...our primary goal with the visual approach is to maintain the authenticity of the original in-game asset. It’s worth calling out that if there’s a conflict between the in-game asset, cinematic asset, or UI portrait, we’re always going to side with the in-game asset. That being said, if there are opportunities to pull in details from the cinematic footage to enhance an asset, we’ll do our best to incorporate those details.

The update looks absolutely amazing and keeps the spirit of the original fully intact while adding so much more depth and detail to it! there is no timetable on when we might finally be getting our hands on the Command & Conquer Remasters but chances are good for a launch in 2020 to celebrate the franchises 25th anniversary. But with how awesome this single piece of updated art looks I can’t wait to see every little detail as we march closer to its completion!
