Just 2 weeks after its launch Devil May Cry 5 has hit the milestone of 2 million copies shipped! This is another impressive milestone from a recent Capcom game as Resident Evil 2 has also found enormous success just a few weeks after launch as well. As a whole the Devil May Cry franchise has shipped around 19 million copies since the franchise first debuted on the PlayStation 2 back in 2001. The previous game in the Devil May Cry Franchise, Ninja Theory’s DMC: Devil May Cry, Only managed to sell through around 2.4 million units in its lifetime (not including the later released special edition). All in all Devil May Cry 5 is continuing Capcom’s recent success alive and has brought good attention back to the long running series!
