EVERSPACE 2 Shines in New Prototype Build

EVERHOPEFUL

I have all faith in the team at ROCKFISH Games after the incredibly (inter)stellar EVERSPACE that we awarded extremely high marks to. With COVID-19 ravishing in person gaming conventions and demos, we got our hands on the latest prototype build that the team was going to be showing at shows this Spring. After some quality time with the build, I am pleased that existing fans and new recruits have a lot to look forward to.

A few fixes from the last build that was released to backers are as follows:

  • Several Bugfixes

  • Significant performance improvement

  • Improved stability

  • Basic Graphics Options

  • Basic Save Games functionality

  • Experimental HOTAS Support

  • Fixed event-based music transitions

  • Added new music tracks

  • Added level cap at level 10

  • Made interception mini-game easier

  • Significantly reduced build size

While all those improvements and additions are great, TL:DR version: The game is shaping up nicely, is a blast to play and looks gorgeous. It’s familiar enough that fans will feel right at home but beefy and expanded in content and features enough to justify a full blow sequel for fans and new comers alike. It’s a near-perfect combo of arcade like space combat action with enough RPG elements to make it much deeper than your average action shooter.

Check out the launch trailer below if you missed it and check out the official site for more info. The devs are in constant communication with their community and fans. If you have ANY interest in Space sims/combat, this game deserves your attention.
