It seems Merge Games is ready to kick off 2023 as they have just released news on two of their anticipated titles while also revealing a new upcoming game! The three games they are revealing news for are Smalland: Survive the Wilds, Bramble: The Mountain King, and their new upcoming title Morbid: The Lords of Ire.
Starting off with their new game announcement, it is the sequel to Lovecraftian souls-like hit Morbid: The Seven Acolytes by developers Still Running. Morbid: The Lords of Ire ignites the next in the series, expanding from its isometric roots into a whole new 3D perspective. Rejoin the Striver of Dibrom as she takes on a grotesque and violent horror-punk world once more.
Morbid: The Lords of Ire is planned to launch in 2023 on PC via Steam.
Next, we have the early access release date for their self-published title Smalland: Survive the Wilds. This title challenges players to survive as one of a race of tiny people in a vast, hazardous world. Players will explore the game’s beautiful world, battle everyday creatures which now see them as lower on the food chain, build encampments, and craft powerful armor sets with scavenged resources.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds launches on Steam’s Early Access on March 29th.
Finally, we have the official release date for Dimfrost Studio’s title Bramble: The Mountain King. While some players already got their first impression from the game’s demo a few months back and they announced that pre-orders are open for the physical edition of the game, we only knew that it was coming sometime this year. Soon, the grim adventure inspired by Nordic horrors will be available!
Bramble: The Mountain King officially launches on April 27th for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
