To Create Worlds
MORTAL KOMBAT 11 is upon us and I am speechless. I’ve dabbled and even taken some serious courses in not only graphic design but 3D art and animation. Let me just say that the work that goes behind just creating a single character that modeled, textured, and animated is a daunting task. Creating dozens of fighters with intros, outros, fatalities and a ton of moves? That is just utterly daunting. Yet the wizards at NetherRealm Studios have created a gory yet absolutely gorgeous game.
For some reason, the choice to keep some parts of the game 30 FPS (Krypt, Menus, etc) and the main game at 60 FPS is a bit of a mystery, that aside, this feels, look, and plays like the most confident, mature, and well polished MK game in the series. Between unlocking all the goodies and just trying out fighters old and new is an absolute joy. If you are a series veteran or even a newcomer, there is a ton of things to enjoy with Mortal Kombat 11 if you can handle the gore… Full review incoming!
