#1 - Alan Wake 2

If our 10/10 review isn’t enough to convince you, Alan Wake 2 is a modern masterpiece. Just know that this is one of the most terrifying, graphically advanced, and stellar titles in recent memory. As a bit of a warning, this game is much more brutal and intense than previous Alan Wake entries. Either way, it’s an absolute showcase of quality graphics, gameplay, and storytelling for this Halloween Season.

#2 - The 7th Guest VR

VR games these days are certainly a mixed bag. With so much shovelware and low effort releases, it’s extremely refreshing to find a quality, polished, and fun to play title such as The 7th Guest VR that plays near perfectly on it’s old school roots but is fresh enough for hardcore fans or newcomers alike. With VR being on a bit of shaky ground as of late, this is a title that cements the amazing possibilities of the platform as a whole and is certainly a Halloween delight.

#3 - Haunted House

Entering in the family friendly zone here, Atari’s Haunted House is a simple but fun joy for the whole family. With some light scares and plenty of personality to go around, this is definitely one to be played by any age. A throwback to the old school Atari days but mixed with plenty of new gameplay and graphics enhancements, this is a fantastic choice for Halloween that won’t keep you up at night.

#4 - Little Goody Two Shoes

Now here’s a title that wasn’t even on my radar until a received the game in my inbox recently. Little Goody Two Shoes A delightful surprise that is also a little less terrifying than some of the other entries on the title but just enough supernatural and spooky fun for JRPG and anime fans that is a bit difficult to fit into any genre or description. Either way, the game is chock full of slight scares and absolutely fantastic music that alone is worth the price of admission. Check out this little hidden gem ASAP!

#5 - Alan Wake Remastered

Although it’s been available for a couple years now, Alan Wake Remastered is a stellar game as a bonus, on sale to celebrate Halloween. You can find it some areas for less than $10 and it is worth every penny. A cult favorite and the precursor to our #1 pick, AWR is graphically stunning and just enough spooks for older teenagers and adults alike. If you haven’t experienced this game yet, pick it up ASAP before the sale ends for good.
