Starting today, the latest event begins for Pokemon GO which Niantic has deemed an Adventure Week! The event begins at 1:00 P.M. PDT and will last until 1:00 P.M. PDT on May 25, 2017.
It's amazing how far of a distance us players have gone already as a collective! If you recall back in December we covered the distance from Earth to Pluto and now, as of May 11th, we have gone farther than 15.8 BILLION kilometers and are literally heading out past our own solar system!
During this week long event, you can get more items from each PokeStop and save 50% when buying Pokeball's in the shop. Other than the items, they are going to increase the chances of finding the Rock-type Pokemon like Omanyte, Kabuto, or their evolutions. This is going to be my chance to get one of the few Generation 1 Pokemon I still haven't caught yet myself, Aerodactyl! On top of all that, there's even going to be a special hat added to the wardrobe for you to wear!
But, now to the best set of news. It's time to pick wisely which Pokemon you have as your buddy because for every candy they find, they will find FOUR of them during this event! I don't know about you guys, but I'm about to try and stock up on some more Dratini candies by enjoying the game during this limited time.
