PUBG Reaches 100 Million Downloads On Mobile

PUBG is undoubtedly one of the hottest games right now in PC, console, and mobile gaming. In a recent announcement by the PUBG Corp., it was revealed that the mobile version of the game has reached over 100 million downloads, four months after it was released in March. The impressive part of this announcement is that this figure does not include downloads from China, Japan, and Korea.

PUBG Corp. and Tencent, the developer’s partner in China also revealed that PUBG Mobile became the most-downloaded mobile game” in more than 100 countries during its launch week. It was also reported that the game sees up to 14 million active users on a daily basis.

“We will continue to set the bar for mobile gaming and look to deliver even more great contents to our players later this year,” PUBG Corp. said in a statement.

The success of mobile ports of games such as PUBG and Fortnite shows how the mobile gaming industry is expanding their reach. In fact, just last year, giant console developer Nintendo has announced that they are interested in venturing into mobile gaming soon and has since released an Animal Crossing game on mobile and plans to launch a Mario Kart for the platform as well.

PUBG is now available on the PC, Xbox One, iOS, and Android devices.
