For the first time ever, Xbox One players and PC players will be able to go head to head. Psyonix announced via press release that as of today, cross-play is available on Rocket League between Xbox One and PC/Steam.
This should expand the game population greatly for both parties, as well as up the level of competition from two groups who never had a platform to face off! This all goes live today at around 3 pm PST! If you're not wishing to integrate or you find yourself getting crushed by your PC/Xbox brethren, you can always switch off the cross play in the options menu. I'm excited to see how this goes!
