On August 22nd 2019, German game publisher ININ Games confirmed the release date for THE NINJA SAVIORS - Return of the Warriors: August 30th 2019 in Europe and October 15th 2019 for North America. The game will be available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The game was be titled “The Ninja Warriors Once Again” in Japan.
The game has been described as "remaster" of The Ninja Warriors Again on SNES. This series of robot ninja-themed cooperative beat-em-ups by Taito originated in the arcade. This will be the first installment of the series since 1994.
Taito is best known for their arcade hits such as Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Darius, Elevator Action, Qix and others; this will also be the first original (non compilation) Taito game to hit home consoles since 2010's Space Invaders Infinity Gene.

With amazing sprite-art and animations, energetic jazzy music, and fast-paced action, the game looks to be a fun throwback to the '90s. I was astonished by some of the brief gameplay clips; it really does look like it was made in the '90s. With Taito being one of my favorite game-makers, I'm excited to pick this one up!
