Probably one of the most excitable announces from the Square Enix E3 2018 conference was that of their perfectly selected game mix. Final Fantasy XIV Online X Monster Hunter World had a short reveal trailer that showed some of the characters and creatures from both series among each other in the same field. It may not have been a big showcase announcement, but I can't imagine a game mix that fits so well together and it is going to be available sometime this summer; which we are already half way through!
I love how at the end they had the row of the characters drinking and cheering with gratitude. Shows how they are all going to be set up to be equal characters to each other, so I would expect the game to be more focused on the gameplay and less on specific character abilities. Of course we can expect different combat styles though. It is an exciting mix and I can't wait to see it play out with some gameplay footage.
