PlayStation 3's are finally going out of production. The console has been on sale since 2006 and the last round of models have rolled out of Japan, and Sony has indicated that they will not be making any more. A console that was initially shunned by its high cost and a more appealing Xbox 360 would go on to hit 83.8 million in lifetime sales to the 360's 84 million. That said, it took a lot of exclusives and redesigns of their console to get there.
