The Robot Revolution is a Thing of Beauty in DETROIT Announce Trailer

Many moons ago (aka 2012) Quantic Dream, the developers behind Beyond: Two Souls and Heavy Rain, created a little animated short about a newly built android that gained sentience titled KARA. Well at Paris Games Week they launched the first official trailer for their upcoming title, Detroit. The story will center around a single android (played by The Following's Valorie Curry) born in the manufacturing capital of America as she navigates the complex social dynamics of AI existing in a human world.

David Cage, writer and director at Quantic Dream, has today unveiled a video showcasing the new development technology from the team. Set in the future, the video shows the story of an android called KARA who experiences human emotions whilst being constructed on a factory line.

I'm a huge fan of Quantic Dream's previous titles. Even though it didn't receive glowing remarks, I really enjoyed Beyond: Two Souls and I'm excited to see what this team can do with such a cool sci-fi setting. Of course, the graphics look absolutely stunning, but that is pretty par for the course with the story-heavy games from Quantic. Check out the trailer and let me know what you think.
