Top 5 Tips And Tricks For The DIABLO IV Beta

Even though the Diablo IV Early Access beta is currently wrapping up, there’s another chance to play this coming weekend with the full Open Beta where anyone with a Battle.net account can give the game a whirl. While the Early Access beta definitely sucked me in and had its hooks in me, there is plenty to look forward to in the Open Beta, especially being able to try all five classes including the Necromancer and Druid. Check our five tips and tricks below to prepare yourself for another weekend of demon slaying and loot-dropping goodness.

Using The Alchemist Is Absolutely Essential

Whether you need protection from the tough-as-nails World Tier II dungeon bosses or you want to gain more experience or dodge change, brewing elixirs is a huge help in accomplishing your goals. The Weak Iron Barb Elixir is easy to make after you gather some basic plants and herbs which gives you some protection while my fave is the Weak Third Eye Elixir which gives you an Experience boost and a Dodge percentage increase. I can’t wait to see what other goodies we can brew in the full version of the game.

There Are Shortcuts To Exit Dungeons

One of the handiest tips I figured out while playing the beta and perhaps the least obvious is there are ways to exit dungeons without running all the way back to the entrance or teleporting to town. The first option is hitting the emote shortcut (“E” key on PC) and selecting Leave Dungeon. The second way to exit is to hit the Map option and click on the stairs of the dungeon on the map. Either option puts you right at the entrance of the dungeon.

Never Underestimate The Gear You Can Get From The Purveyor Of Curiosities

While I did find some great Legendary drops during the Early beta even from vendors, some of my best gear came from completing Events and spending Obols at the Purveyor of Curiosities. As you can see from the screenshot above, a legendary Helm dropped which was a huge upgrade from my rare helm before it.

Tips For Finding Special Enemies Are Scattered Throughout The World

Books, signposts, town notices, and more will lead you to special enemies that you are otherwise not guided to in the world of Sanctuary. Finding these enemies and bosses of dungeons are some of the most rewarding fights in the beta so far.

Beating Ashava Can Be Simplified With A Simple Strategy

During my first attempt at beating the world boss Ashava at level 22, I got absolutely smashed. I kept trying to stay at a far distance and would get one shotted. If you stay usually at her feet while using Evade as she switches attacks, you can quite easily defeat her and score some fat loot. If your armor starts to break, teleport to town, repair, and teleport back to continue the fight.
