Ubisoft recently confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the latest installment to the franchise, will be officially announced with details this coming E3. The confirmation from the developer was announced at the official Twitter account of Assassin’s Creed.
The announcement by Ubisoft came after several details about Assassin’s Creed Odyssey were leaked online. Several sources claimed that the game will take place in ancient Greece, which seems to be correct given the brief teaser Ubisoft released today. Furthermore, the game will reportedly introduce new mechanics, which will include dialogue options. Sources also claim that players will now be able to select either a male or female playable character.
The short teaser for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey showed what seems to look like a Spartan soldier kicking an enemy off a cliff that paid homage to the famous scene in Zack Snyder’s film, 300. Also, the logo of the game shows what looks like a Corinthian helmet, which of course is the headgear worn by Greek Soldiers during that period.
The short teaser seems to confirm some of the rumors that have long been circulating. However, Ubisoft still has a few details to unveil this coming E3, which will take place on June 11, 2018.
