Virtual Reality Village is in Development in China

China is building the very first village that will have the sole purpose of productivity in the Virtual Reality development process! It is expected to be completed by 2019 and will house roughly 50 companies which will provide 1.5 million new pieces, updates and equipment on an annual basis.

Thanks to China being among the countries that promotes VR technology at a state level, the village, currently called Beidouwan VR Townwill, is going to be built by Guian New Area. It is China’s state approved area in Guizhou mid-Western China.

The main functions of focus are, industry planning & exhibition, scientific education & promotion, field trip & experiences, innovation & entrepreneurship, and a platform for trading and showcase. This will provide 3,500 new jobs and has an expected revenue of more than $145 million annually.
