500 Super-Fans Will Get a Chance to Play ZELDA for Wii U at the Nintendo NY Store

Nintendo invites you to be one of the first to play Zelda for Wii U without the necessity of attending E3, that is, if you’re in New York on June 11 and are willing to to do whatever it takes to be one of the first 500 people in line at their store before it opens its doors at 9 a.m.

If you’re in the area or if you’re just itching for a chance to play Nintendo’s long-awaited Zelda U at any cost, here’s what you need to do in order to attend the E3 Super-Fan Signup Day event:

1. On Saturday, June 11, head to the Nintendo NY store:
10 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY 10020

2. Only the first 500 fans in line by the time the store opens at 9 a.m. will receive a special wristband guaranteeing you the opportunity to play The Legend of Zelda between 6/14-6/19. Please note: The line will form no earlier than 7 a.m. Photo ID is required, and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

3. If you receive a wristband, exchange it for a ticket with a designated date and time to return to the store to play.

4. Come back to the store during your assigned time with photo ID to play!

Regardless of whether or not you secure a wristband, all fans are invited to Nintendo NY starting at 12 p.m. ET on June 14 to watch live streams of Treehouse: Live and gameplay of The Legend of Zelda direct from Nintendo’s booth at E3 on the store’s 15-foot gaming screen! Plus, you can watch guided gameplay demonstrations and participate in The Legend of Zelda trivia to win EXCLUSIVE limited edition prizes (while supplies last) until the event concludes on June 19!

I wonder how far in advance they will allow lines to start forming and if someone will be documenting everything that happens before the doors open so that we can keep track of the mini Zelda-Con that this event is likely to become. Seriously, Nintendo should just toss us a demo on the eShop after the Treehouse live stream.
