A Look At Some Of The Best 2019 Games With The BAFTA Games Awards Nominations
BAFTA has released the list of 2020 nominations for the Games Awards, and it’s a massive list of the most successful indie and AAA games from 2019.
The Games Awards celebrates both UK and international development teams, and the ceremony will occur on April 2nd with live streaming on BAFTA’s Facebook, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube channels.
Both Control and Death Stranding received 11 nominations, which is the highest number for a game in the history of the Games Awards. Indie games like Disco Elysium, Life is Strange 2, Outer Wilds, and Untitled Goose Game also received multiple nominations, in addition to expected nominations for some of 2019’s biggest AAA titles.
New categories were added for this year’s ceremony, celebrating Animation, Technical Achievement, Performers in a Leading Role, and Performers in a Supporting Role.
Also, Hideo Kojima, the creative mind behind Death Stranding and so many other great games, will receive the Fellowship accolade, which is representative of the remarkable career he’s had in the games industry.
