Bethesda Gives a Warm "Thank You" to FALLOUT 4 Fans
No doubt most of your free time has been dedicated to becoming more and more addicted to Fallout 4. Well the fine folks at Bethesda sent out a very heartfelt "thank you" on their development blog yesterday. In it they have hinted that there is so much more in the Commonwealth that still has yet to be found. New places to explore. New Easter Eggs to hunt down that the millions of people playing it still haven't found.
Seeing and reading your stories has given our whole studio immense joy. It's amazing to see what you've done with the game, what you've discovered, and what you've built! We know there's even more to come; the game is full of hidden gems and ways it can be played.
And of course, in those millions of people, a lot of bugs have been found. After-all, what is a huge living world if it doesn't break the second millions of angry nerds get a hold on it? They have announced their plans moving forward to address these bugs and make Fallout 4 the best game they've released yet.
Our process for updating the game will include releasing a beta patch on Steam, followed by full release on PC, then release on the consoles. This process has worked well for us in the past and allows us to get more fixes out faster. Expect to see more updates, that are smaller and more frequent, than a few big ones. This allows us to make sure each fix is working right, as any change can have unintentional side effects in a game this huge. We expect the first beta patch to be up next week.
