Blind Action-Adventure Game THE VALE: SHADOW OF THE CROWN Gets An August Release Date
The award-winning audio-only action-adventure game The Vale: Shadow of the Crown has been given a release date and it’s right around the corner! Falling Squirrel has revealed that their unique game is going to be released on August 19th for Xbox One and PC via Steam and Itch, with plans to release on Epic Games soon after. Get ready to lose your sense of sight and heighten your hearing because battle awaits and your life depends on your adaptation.
Players embark on the emotional journey of the Second-to-the-Throne — blind from birth and recently exiled to the edges of the kingdom upon the coronation of their elder brother as King of the Land. They will set out on a treacherous journey as they explore the world around them, fight off enemies in challenging, interactive combat, hunt for resources, acquire gear, and lose themselves in a rich narrative supported by top-tier voice acting. With AAA quality voice acting performances from dozens of acclaimed voice actors including Karen Knox (Starlink, Far Cry 5), Samer Salem (The Expanse, The Handmaid’s Tale), and Steve Cumyn (Far Cry 3, Versailles), players are in for make for a gaming experience, unlike anything they have ever played before.
Considering they developed this game in close consultation with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, I would say that we are definitely in for a groundbreaking, unique experience.
