Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Physical Copies Out In The Wild But Can't Be Played Yet
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is the latest entry to the annual COD release cycle, and while it is normal for physical disks to leak a week or 2 early before their retail release date, Black Ops 6 has leaked almost 3 weeks prior. Fortunately, people who have the disc are holding a lemon until the official release of the game.
It’s worth mentioning that even though the physcial disc is in their possession, the game will require authentication with COD HQ, and the campaign will require an internet connection regardless of platform, so trying to play the campaign or multiplayer early will not be possible.
In addition, over the last few years, physical disc versions of COD only act as a digital license and do not always have the full game on the disc. If the game really just has a license on it and there is nothing to datamine, then the disc is still pretty much a lemon until the release date of October 25th.
