Co-op Dino Shooter SECOND EXTINCTION Is Leaving Early Access
After continuing development and constantly improving their game, Systemic Reaction has finally announced that they are bringing their game Second Extinction out of early access. During its time in early access, this multiplayer cooperative shooter has left a solid impression on players, so it is exciting to see it reaching its developmental completion. Plus, it is coming to the Xbox consoles finally as well.
If you are unaware of this title, it pits teams of up to three players against swarms of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Equip a range of uniquely powerful weapons and abilities and fight on your own or with friends against monstrous dinosaurs long thought extinct, but are now mutated and deadlier than ever.
Along with the full launch of the game, they have also revealed some of what is coming to the game this Fall season. This list includes a new map and biome which effectively doubles the game area, two brand new dinosaurs which include a flying species and new mutations, revamped progression system, a refined weapon upgrade system, free-roaming and hot joining - meaning players start new missions directly from the map without having to leave the session, as well as join active games, and a host of other improvements.
Second Extinction fully releases on October 20th for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store and will be released on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on the Xbox Game Pass for consoles and Xbox Game Preview via PC.
