CRYSIS REMASTERED Revealed For Modern Platforms, Including Switch!

Well oops, it looks like Crytek accidentally revealed their Crysis Remaster a bit earlier than planned. Yes, a Crysis Remaster is being made how exciting is that! Now an entirely new generation can live the experience of can it run Crysis memes and I for one can’t wait. Anyways, the remaster was outed by a listing on the official Crytek site which was then been pulled down. Of course in this day of connectivity, images for the site have been posted everywhere. In response, Crytek released the official teaser for the game.

According to the info from earlier images and the trailer, it looks like the Crysis Remaster is slated to hit PC, PS4, Xbox One, and surprisingly the Nintendo Switch! A Switch port is surprising for a number of reasons, the least of which is the fact that Crysis melts GPU’s so it coming to a handheld is astonishing! Then, of course, it is an EA property and EA has historically shown little support for the platform. Maybe this is a sign of things to come? I will take Battlefront II on my Switch, please!

I am getting extremely sidetracked here, other tidbits of information about the game include notes about higher resolution textures, new graphical features, and raytracing support. Crysis was the definition of lighting effects back in the day so seeing it get the latest and greatest in lighting is going to be spectacular! Are you excited to see Crysis come back after its 7-year hiatus?

Thanks to PC Gamer for the info!
