Demon's Souls for Playstation 5 is Truly a Next-Gen Experience
True. True.
While the term may seem cliché or even dated, I’ve been waiting for a true next-gen experience for quite awhile. Yes, I review games on a high end PC and while there are plenty of stunning games out there, it wasn’t until I picked up a Playstation 5 and a copy of Demon’s Souls that I felt cautiously optimistic for said experience. While I was excited to dive into the game, I wasn’t prepared for the journey and experience I was about to embark on..
Backing up a bit, the Souls/Bloodborne/Sekiro series have not only seen commercial success, a rabid fan base form around the different series, they’ve also divided gamers into different groups that absolutely detest the series due to the mechanics, the design but most of all, the steep degree of difficulty. The other group, where I fall into, are those that suffer, scream, and sweat just to pass a level yet celebrate with a massive rush of accomplishment when beating a boss or a particularly difficult area or level. Regardless of which camp you fall into, EVERY gamer should dive in Demon’s Souls for Playstation 5.
Wait… EVERY gamer should play Demon’s Souls on PS5? Yes. 100%. Why? Because between the stunning 60 FPS 4K graphics, the immersive 3D sound that the PS5 showcases whether you are on headphones or a surround sound system, the blazingly fast load times, the fantastic photo and graphic filter modes and a plethora of options between online, offline, solo, co-op and PVP options available, it all just works. Not only does it work, it excels in all these areas as the true next-gen experience I’ve been waiting for especially in graphics, animations, and effects, all at a buttery smooth 60 FPS. It’s polished to an absolute spit shine by the geniuses at Bluepoint Games who also did the incredible remake of Shadow of the Colossus for PS4. If you can get your hands on a PS5, even if you aren’t a Souls type fan, pick up a copy of Demon’s Souls to go with it. You won’t regret it.
