DETROIT: BECOME HUMAN Sales Surpasses 5 Million Units After Steam Release!

It has been one month since the Steam release of Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human. To say the transition to PC has been good for Quantic Dream’s brand of storytelling is an understatement, to say the least as it has allowed new players to experience each tale. In the case of Detroit: Become Human it has even allowed the game to hit a new sales milestone, 5 million units sold worldwide! The last time we heard any numbers for the title it had sold 3.2 million on PS4 by October 2019. With today’s announcement, it means that nearly another 2 million units have been sold since the title’s launch on PC!

Of course, this isn’t the only good news for Detroit: Become Human as the Twitch extension released alongside the game has proven widely popular among content creators and streamers. Detroit: Community Play allows for streamers to tap their audience for input on the game’s narrative decisions making for an interesting way to work your way through the story! The extension is only available for the PC version of the game but is a free add-on for Twitch so if you happen to own the game and stream you should give it a shot.

I am pretty happy to hear that Quantic Dream is having success with these games coming to PC as they have always deserved a bigger audience than a single platform can allow for. The games are very niche and won’t always appeal to everyone but the storytelling remains top-notch between releases and I can’t wait to see what comes next. Especially since Quantic Dream is doing multiplatform development now!
