Don't Expect A New ASSASSIN'S CREED In 2019, Ubisoft Says
Ubisoft has announced that the studio will not be releasing a new Assassin’s Creed title in 2019 and would instead focus its resources supporting this year’s Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
“On Assassin’s, we had a game [in 2018], and we have one this year, but we are not going to have a full-fledged Assassin’s next year,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot explained. “It’s just because the team we were working separately, so we have two games now, one year after the other. But next year you’re not going to have a fully fledged one.”
Instead of a new game, Ubisoft will be busy by adding additional content to Odyssey to keep players engaged. When asked whether Ubisoft has plans to launch a spin-off title, the developer revealed that no smaller titles will be released as well.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is set to release on October 5 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
