You can now download the original RTS Classic, StarCraft, for free from Blizzard’s website with the bonus of its expansion StarCraft: Brood War. This is no doubt to get people sucked in and wanting more when the HD version, StarCraft: Remastered, is officially released this summer. Don’t get me wrong, that is not a bad thing. I like retextures and remastered games a lot when done right, and StarCraft seems to have done just that.
I never got to play StarCraft growing up, but a lot of my friends in high school and college loved it. I think I may have to go and download it so I can get a taste of this classic game and prepare my wallet for the summer. LAN Party anyone?
