EA May Finally Be Working On A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC Sequel!
Well, this is an interesting rumor making the rounds of the internet. Apparently EA is finally working on a new sequel/soft reboot to the Knights of the Old Republic franchise! The rumor originates from Cinelix, the news outlet that first leaked news of Ewan McGregor coming back to Star Wars in the Disney+ Obi-Wan Kenobi spin-off. Two separate sources have verified the existence of a KOTOR related project but the info diverges slightly between the two. One source states we are getting a full-blown remake while the other claims it will be a soft reboot type sequel like the newest God of War title was too that franchise. Basically the goal is to “integrate elements from the first two games in order to bring certain things into the current Star Wars canon.”
Considering we have already begun to see elements of KOTOR reemerge in The Rise Of Skywalker with the Revan Legion this rumor doesn’t seem too farfetched. EA’s Star Wars titles have finally begun to resonate with fans after great updates to Battlefront II and the amazing Jedi: Fallen Order. No info has been leaked regarding who will helm this rumored KOTOR title but chances are strong it will not be Bioware as the studio is still hard at work fixing Anthem, developing Dragon Age 4, and supposedly working on a Mass Effect title. But, as with all rumors take this with a grain of salt until confirmation can be officially given.
What would you all want to see out of a KOTOR game in 2020?
