FIRST IMPRESSIONS: THE TALOS PRINCIPLE II Is A Beautiful Mind-bending Trip
THE TALOS PRINICPLE II so far is a beautiful, mind-bending, and noodle-exercising puzzle foray into the worlds of philosophy, religion, history, and more. If you played the first game, you pretty much know what you are in for but with the second entry in the series, the puzzle become even more difficult and head-scratching in some areas.
The worlds are absolutely gorgeous rendered in the latest Unreal 5 engine and for me, ran surprising well with a wealth of upscaling options including DLSS. The level of polish here is something to note especially with so many shoddy performing PC releases this year. If you think the graphics are amazing, wait until you hear the heavenly (literally) voice acting and stellar soundtrack and effects. The really are a showcase for polish and game done right instead of being rushed out the door.
If you are a fan of the first game, you are gonna love Talos 2. If you like puzzle games in general, Talos 2 is one of the best. At first, there were several puzzles I thought I could never figure out but as soon as you do, the reward and payoff felt great.
The Talos Principle II is available now and there is currently a demo on Steam to kick the tires if you aren’t quite sure of a purchase yet.
