Five Years After Release, DYING LIGHT Gets A New Dungeon Crawler DLC
As many players of the parkour-filled zombie killing game Dying Light await further news on the announced sequel that was delayed to an undisclosed release date, Techland has decided to try and keep their fan base geared up by releasing a brand new DLC called Hellraid. Just from watching the trailer alone, you can tell this is going to be much different than the typical gameplay you are used to from this game though.
Right off the bat, you can see that this DLC takes a medieval twist on a melee-focused Doom-style gameplay that will have a little bit of parkour and tons of enemies to kill. Offering a handful of different weapons to fight against the handful of different enemies, this somewhat obvious cash grab looks to only exist to keep player’s minds on the Dying Light series. That said, perhaps this DLC isn’t meant to be an impressive take on the series but rather a way to get players to focus on the combat mechanics as they gear up to announce something about the sequel. That is just speculation, of course, but it has me hopeful.
Either way, this ten dollar DLC is available now for Dying Light on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. If you are looking to get a few more kills and try to survive a horde, it might be worth considering. Just check out the trailer above before you go spending money.
