FLASHBACK 2 Teaser Unveils The Return Of A Classic From Three Decades Ago
While it wasn’t too much to go on yet, Microids used their spot in the Summer Game Fest 2022 lineup to unveil a teaser trailer for Flashback 2. Three decades after the first adventures of Conrad B.Hart in Flashback, which was re-released on Steam in 2018, the original developer Paul Cuisset is working closely with Microids Studio Lyon to bring a new chapter to the classic franchise.
After defeating the Master Brain in the previous episode, Conrad and his allies are once again facing the Morphs species, threatening all civilizations. Adding insult to injury, Conrad’s best friend Ian is being kidnapped in front of him… Another dirty trick from the Morphs? It will be up to you to find out who did it and their motivations.
Back in the ‘90s, Flashback was praised for its innovative animation. Wanting to maintain this tradition in this new chapter, they hired world-renown stuntman Jamel Blissat (known for his work as Marvel’s Moon Knight Oscar Isaac body double). With how advanced technology is today, it is definitely interesting to hear they are aiming so high for their upcoming game’s animation.
Flashback 2 is planned to release in the Winter of 2022 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S with a Nintendo Switch release to follow in 2023.
