GameTyrant's Top 5 Games Of The 2023 Year

We here at GameTyrant have had a roller coaster of a year and we want to thank you all for sticking with us through it all. We’ve all played some really great games and we’ve all played some really horrible games. After some time gaming and soul searching here are our Top 5 games for this year.

1. Baldur’s Gate 3 - 10/10

Baldur's Gate 3 was easily one of my most anticipated RPG games this year, or maybe even ever. I was so anxious for the release and when I finally got my hands on it, I was so much more pleased than I could have ever asked for.

2. Alan Wake 2 - 10/10

Alan Wake 2 really speaks wonders to how far horror games have come, and how far they really can go. Everything from the soundtrack to the graphics, Alan Wake 2 really came to impress.

3. Resident Evil 4 Remake - 10/10

For it being a remake Resident Evil 4 was truly mind blowing. With some really improved graphics and having the gameplay smoothed out, along with a DLC that followed behind it, it’s really no surprise that a great game was made even greater.

4. Mortal Kombat 1 - 10/10

Mortal Kombat 1 did what I didn’t think was possible. It improved the series, AGAIN. Every time I hear the Mortal Kombat whispers I wait for the release date in anticipation that we’re going to get the same game, and every single time I’m impressed on how they changed the game and made it better, and this one really takes the cake, it’s the best in the series.

5. Hogwarts Legacy - 9/10

While Hogwarts Legacy came with some baggage in the form of social media, there’s no denial that this game brought people to gaming that would never have considered themselves gamers before. The community created, and just the beautiful landscapes from the game, I knew from the day it released it was an instant classic.
