Gear Up For 4 Months Of Free PlayStation Content With #PlayAtHome
It’s no doubt that since the beginning of 2020, the world has been caught under a severely dark cloud caused by Covid-19. Shortly after the quarantine and social distancing started last year, PlayStation started the Play At Home initiative which aimed its sights at advocating safe social distancing practices and providing some games to keep gamers sane. They gave away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey free of charge with no strings attached. It was a really cool thing to see especially given the fact that that’s not really something game companies do very often. At times like these, it means a lot to see that PlayStation appreciates their players and wants them to stay safe by offering a distraction.
PlayStation is restarting the initiative this March and continuing it through June, giving away even more games throughout. Starting March 1st at 8 pm PST players will be able to pick up Ratchet & Clank from the PlayStation store until March 31st at 8 pm PDT. Again, once you claim the game, it’s yours for good! This year though, it doesn’t end at free games. They announced that Funimation would be giving extended access for new subscribers starting March 25th! Funimation is a streaming service that offers its users Anime content. PlayStation has also stated that in the coming weeks, they would be sharing more details on the free games and entertainment offers that gamers will have the chance to benefit from. Another big detail here is that you don’t have to have a PS Plus subscription to get in on any of the Play At Home Awesomeness.
