Gears E-Day was the closing title for todays Xbox Showcase, and while the trailer was in-engine and did not show us much detail when it came to the game, release date, and more, fans are currently ecstatic at the return of the familiar protagonists.

The game will see the return of Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago with the events of the game taking place 14 years prior to the events of the 2006 original title that started the series.

Whether or not we will see the other members of the crew join the already established characters is still a burning question and one that will undoubtedly be answered in the future.

If you are a fan of the older games over the newer entries, this is one game you should definitely keep an eye out for at future shows.
