It’s been a few years since the first picture of a subliminal space was popularized online and ever since, more and more people have been adding to one of the latest collective mysterious horrors simply known as The Backrooms. Many have been working on depicting this subliminal horror in a way that delivers the concept while also being entertaining.
Another solo indie developer is trying their hand at this concept with their upcoming game Subliminal. While they have been working on it for some time, there is finally a trailer for the game. They also provided a short description of the game as a software raytraced realistic horror puzzle game depicting the Backrooms.
Thanks to this trailer, we can now look forward to a playable version of the game sometime in mid-2023. They haven’t listed a platform yet, but a release window is definitely good to have. Will you brave the subliminal spaces within?
