Huge Update Announced For USC: COUNTERFORCE
Angry Cat Studios and Firesquid released USC: Counterforce back in July for Early Access. The game has received very positive reviews and seems to be garnering a steady increase in the fan base. The developers are celebrating Steam’s Strategy Fest from August 28th to September 4th by adding a big update to the game that includes a new game mode and a discount.
Players step into the boots of a commando squad tasked with investigating an alien presence on planet M-8322. The game features a class-free skill system that requires player-honed playstyles to ensure the best gameplay experience possible. Forces used in battle are completely customizable and can utilize unique weapons, hacking tools, mines, turrets, and much more. Environments are fully explorable and destructible in both the single-player and multiplayer experience.
The update includes the Defend the Base mode, merging base management with the classic tactical strategy shooter mechanics. Other new additions are prototype weapons with enhanced base properties, scanners that can reveal fog of war and enemy locations, and general gameplay changes and bug fixes.
USC: Counterforce is currently on Steam in Early Access with a 25% discount from August 28th to September 4th thanks to Steam’s Strategy Fest.
