James Marsden To Star In The SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Movie
The film adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog moves one step closer to becoming a reality as The Hollywood Reporter revealed that James Marsden is cast to have a starring role in the film. Marsden is known for his portrayal of Cyclops/Scott Summers in the X-Men franchise and is currently involved in HBO’s Westworld. It is not known what the exact role Marsden is going to play in the movie, which will sport a live-action/CGI hybrid.
The upcoming video-game adaptation will be directed by Jeff Fowler, who is known for his 2005 animated movie Gopher Broke and Deadpool 1 director Tim Miller will serve as the film’s producer. Finally, Oren Uziel, who was involved in films such as The Cloverfield Paradox, wrote the latest draft screenplay of the movie.
The team behind the upcoming film still hasn’t released any details regarding the plot of Sonic the Hedgehog Movie. However, a small part of me is a little bit skeptical on the idea of a movie based on the iconic Sonic franchise. Hopefully, my fears are misplaced, and the people behind this game to film adaptation pulls it off.
The movie is scheduled to hit theaters on November 15th, 2019. How do you feel about Sonic the Hedgehog being adapted as a movie? What do you think James Marsden’s role will be?
