JUMP FORCE Gets A Few Special Announcements, Including Closed Beta
The instantly popular Bandai Namco title that was announced at E3 2018, Jump Force, has received a few announcements at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) yesterday. The main features from the show was the announcement of Yusuke Urameshi, along with some others from the anime Yu Yu Hakusho, will be joining the fight on this ultimate anime brawl title! A very deserving character to add, if you ask me.
Along with this well known anime being added, a trailer feature original character designs from the well known Dragon Ball writer and manga artist Akira Toriyama was featured. Here is where you can meet Glover, Navigator, Galena, and Kane. Both of these trailers show a few exclusive items that you will get if you pre-order today.
Aside from all of these character announcements, there were a few things that are arguably even more exciting to share. The first thing to talk about is their announcement of the Collectors Edition! The Jump Force Collector’s Edition will cost $259.99, which is quite a bit but will include the following items:
Exclusive 30cm tall diorama statue of Luffy, Naruto, and Goku
Jump Force software
Exclusive SteelBook case
3 art boards
The second thing announced is what anybody considering pre-ordering or getting the Collector’s Edition will want to check out, and that is the Closed Beta. You can sign up today and try to claim yourself a code to play Jump Force as early as October 12-14th so that you can see if you want to get it before or on launch come February 2019. Now, the important thing to keep in mind with the Closed Beta is that it will be on a specific schedule:
Session #1 - Friday, October 12
(5:00 am - 7:00 am PT)
(2:00 pm - 4:00 pm CEST)Session #2 - Saturday, October 13
(8:00 pm - 10:00 pm PT)
(5:00 am - 7:00 am CEST)Session #3 - Saturday, October 13
(9:00 am - 11:00 am PT)
(6:00 pm - 8:00 pm CEST)Session #4 - Sunday, October 14
(8:00 pm - 10:00 pm PT)
(5:00 am - 7:00 am CEST)
As much as I wish it was just an three day long beta, it does make sense that they would have to control when their servers are live. Hopefully there will be an arcade or single player that we will get to play, given we are lucky enough to receive one of the codes being handed out.
All-in-all, I am excited for Jump Force’s release and hopeful that I will get to try the game out during the closed beta. What do you think of Yu Yu Hakusho joining the roster? Will you be getting the Collectors Edition?
