JUMP FORCE Open Beta Begins January 18th On A Timed Schedule

A few months back, Bandai Namco released a closed alpha for Jump Force that was an invite only list. With the game set to launch next month, it looks like they want to give more people a taste of the game while testing out the online servers as they are releasing an open beta for all Playstation 4 and Xbox One players to try out! This open beta is set to start on January 18th and go through the weekend, ending on January 20th.

Now, they announced that the open beta will be done by holding four different three-hour sessions for players to play during. They did a similar schedule set up for the closed alpha that they ended up not following and just left the alpha open through the entire weekend period. However, seeing how they will be expecting a much larger volume of players on the server along with the need for time to fix issues that arise, I think it is likely they will stick to the schedule this time.

The Session Schedule is as follows:

Session 1
Friday, January 18th at 4:00am – 7:00am PST

Session 2
Friday, January 18th at 9:00pm – 12:00am PST

Session 3
Saturday, January 19th at 8:00am – 11:00am PST

Session 4
Sunday, January 20th at 12:00pm – 3:00pm PST

While there is going to be a story and character customization options in the full game, this open beta is going to only be equipped with six preset avatars to choose from. However, you will get to choose between seventeen different fighters and play across five different stages. Both of those is already much higher than it was in the closed alpha and I am hoping to see some of the characters I was hoping to try out before in this new test session.

Will you be playing the free open beta of Jump Force next weekend or is the schedule a bit too strict for you to make it?
