Round8 Studio and NEOWIZ is here to celebrate their protagonist Pinocchio’s birthday by posting two behind-the-scenes videos for their upcoming Souls-like game Lies of P. These videos will let anticipating players familiarize themselves with the game that is based on the beloved story of Pinocchio and see how they brought the tale to the dark, Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat that has become a living nightmare.

In the video on top of this article, Project Director Ji Won Choi and Art Director Chang Kyu Noh guide viewers through what to expect from the story, characters, tone, art direction, and more that they’ll discover throughout the highly-anticipated Souls-like game. The video at the bottom of this article, actor Allegra Marland (Elden Ring, The Crown) shares a deep dive into her character Sophia.

In this game, players play as P, a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally become human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human P becomes. Just remember: in a world filled with lies, no one can be trusted…

Lies of P is planned to release in August 2023 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and as part of Game Pass.
