MEGA MAN Zero/ZX LEGACY COLLECTION Confirmed For PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One!
Face front and charge your blasters Mega Man fans: Capcom has just announced the Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection! Following the success Capcom has had with Mega Man Legacy Collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, Mega Man X Legacy Collection and Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2, this collection will contain 6 games:
Mega Man Zero
Mega Man Zero 2
Mega Man Zero 3
Mega Man Zero 4
Mega Man ZX
Mega Man ZX Advent
The Mega Man Zero games were originally released for the Game Boy Advance. They were later collected in Mega Man Zero Collection on DS, and given Virtual Console versions via Wii U. These highly challenging 2D action games are distant sequels to the Mega Man X franchise (which itself a sequel series to the original Mega Man games). ZX and ZX Advent, two Metroidvania-style games take place even farther down the line; the protagonists of those games take the form of Mega Man Zero characters such as Zero and Fefnir. ZX and ZX Advent have not been re-released in any capacity since their original printing.
The Mega Man Zero games have gorgeous sprite art and animation and are notorious for their difficulty…. especially the first game! To ease in new players, a decreased difficulty mode: Casual Scenario and a Save State-like game save (The Save Assist function) have been added. Artwork and Soundtrack galleries have been confirmed. A new competitive game mode called Z-Chaser has also been added; it appears to be a speedrun type challenge.
Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection will be released on Switch, Xbox One, PS4 and PC. The release date has been given as January 21st, 2020. The Collection has been rated “T” by the ESRB. Stay tuned to GameTyrant as more information develops!!
