Come to the dark side… of Minecraft. The Nether Update has arrived in the block-building and brain-busting video game, and the mysterious realm is about to have a lot more explorers roaming in it.

The new update is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, Windows 10, and more. If you’ve got Minecraft, then you’ve got the Nether update ready to go or coming soon.

Players will be able to enjoy new biomes, enemy mobs, and blocks. So many blocks. Fiery, dangerous, ancient blocks. The builders out there will be able to experiment with Netherite, a material stronger than diamond so you’ll be able to craft some truly impressive sets of armor, weapons, and so much more.

But pure netherite is no longer accessible. The resource has been exhausted by greedy Piglins. If you want this incredibly strong and durable ore, you’ll have to find scrap among ancient debris. No more mining. It’s time to explore.

There are Piglins and Hoglins and all manner of threats to the pioneering player. You’ll have to practice your aim. And there is no better way to do that than with the new Target Block.

Minecraft is bigger than ever. The player base is huge. And it’s determined to do more and more with the game. So the Nether update should be a welcome addition for those looking to do more in the massively-popular title.
