New NEED FOR SPEED Slated For 2017...Offline Play Returns
For those who have eagerly been waiting for the next Need for Speed, wait no more. Ghost Games, the current developer of the franchise, has announced that the next iteration in the series will definitely be released this year, with more information and details to follow when EA Play arrives in June. And it seems that they have taken some feedback from racers seriously.
When we launched the reboot back in 2015, we were blown away by the amount of feedback you gave us. It was clear how passionate you are for Need for Speed, which is a large part of why we’re here today.
One of the biggest concerns racers had with the 2015 Need for Speed was that there was no offline racing availability. Ghost Games appears to have hearkened to this cry, as they have revealed that there will be a single player offline experience available.
Let’s finish on one of the biggest discussion points around the last game: always-online. To say that this is a topic you're passionate about would be an understatement, and whenever there’s a topic that gathers as much attention and feedback from you as this did, we take note.
Now, how's that for customer satisfaction? Other news about the new title is that cops will be included, as always, giving us a reason to break the rules and escape with our lives, and expensive vehicle, intact.
Being an avid Need for Speed fan, I look forward to more details on the next game. So far it seems like the standard inclusion of police and customization, with the only real breaking news being the offline play. Let's hope that by June there will be some extra juicy tidbits for us to drool over.
