Developer Shiny Shoe’s new indie game Inkbound came out last May in Early Access on Steam to great success. Now the devs are releasing their first big update to the turn-based multiplayer tactical RPG players have come to know and love. The update will be called Starship of Terrors, and will have a sci-fi theme while introducing a new class for players to enjoy, the Star Captain.

The Start Captain brings the current number of available classes to six. The class will fight with lasers, drones, teamwide auras, and frost damage. The Star Captain will excel as supportive team players, boosting friendly abilities and protecting them with shields. However, even by themselves, they are a force to be reckoned with, building up massive frostbite or drone damage

Outside of the new class, players will be able to explore a new book(level) in their runs called the Derelict Spaceship. The story will include exciting new sci-fi themes and a spooky Derelict Starship that's ripe for exploration and intense tactical battles against a new type of alien enemies. As a final side note, the seasonal passes that unlock cosmetic content will now cast 1000 of the in game currency rather than 600 and be called leveling passes instead.

Inkbound is available now in Early Access on Steam. The Starship of Terrors update will arrive on August 23rd.
