Developer XD Games is the creator of the PC and mobile action-RPG Torchlight: Infinite. As a side note, the game is not to be confused with the Torchlight series however similar to the game’s name. As a special Christmas gift for their players, XD Games has announced a new season for their game as well as the release of the trailer for it. The new season will include a ton of new content and the story will be called Blacksail and will center around a pirate adventure on the Void Sea.

As part of endgame content, players will adventure on the Void Sea collecting seals that they will use to fight the penultimate boss. After drafting that boss players will be able to fight the Lord of Void Sea, who will drop several unique Legendary Items.

As part of the new season, the updates to the game will include PC and controller support as a response to community feedback, which is good news for anyone who has been wanting to play on a Steam Deck. In addition to the controller support, the new season will also add new gear and skills. Players will gain access to two new hero items: Hero Relics and Hero Memories. Hero Memories will be able to slot into relics to provide powerful abilities.

The Blacksail season will release on January 2023. Torchlight: Infinite is available on PC via Steam and mobile devices.
