NO MAN'S SKY Team "Working Hard" To Resolve PC Issues

In case you haven't heard, No Man's Sky is not running well on PC. While the game sits at a massive negative review rating on Steam, the devs took to the forums to address the issues the game has and how they are working to resolve the issues". Here's the stuff they've listed so far...

  • Their support page has listed common workarounds to issues you can check out now.
  • They've updated the auto response for their support email listing the common fixes.
  • Tickets have been filed for everyone who has emailed so far and will be responded to in turn.

Now that they've insulted their user bases intelligence essentially saying "our game runs on this...are you sure you have it?" they addressed some issues that were beyond user control.

• Shader Cache issue – means that framerate is initially stuttering on some cards. Whilst it resolves itself over time (~1 hour of play), we will fix this issue in a patch.
• SSE 4 – for CPUs that do not support SSE 4, it is causing the game to crash on boot (some of these area technically below min spec, but we don’t want it to crash!)
• Mouse controls jitter on foot – this caused by a combination of certain resolution and GFX card. A fix is in progress.

Personally, I think PC players have a right to be upset. To tell people NOW that the game only runs on certain drivers and graphics cards is more than a little s*****. The correct response is "make your rig suitable to our standards," rather than "we're looking to increase compatibility".

Even if that's not possible at least you shouldn't take the route of "it's your problem, not ours".
